Welcome to Krystal
First and foremost, welcome to Krystal! We host over 250,000 websites on behalf of over 30,000 clients and have recently celebrated our 20th birthday, so you’re in experienced hands! Our values and ethos are very similar to Your Hosting Company and we’re confident that you’ll love the service and support we provide. What’s already happened?
Within the next few days we'll securely migrate your client information and services (domains and hosting packages) into the Krystal Client Area. We haven't yet migrated your actual hosting, databases or email data to our platform - For now these remain exactly as-is on your current platform, we'll be in touch in the coming weeks regarding the migration of your hosting itself.
In the meantime however we're now providing full support for your services - If you have any queries, issues, or concerns you can contact us.
What now?
Moving your current hosting from Your Hosting Company to our servers couldn’t be easier. We can take a direct copy of your existing cPanel account and copy it over to your new account with us. This will copy all of your websites, DNS settings and any email accounts that are on the cPanel.
The steps to follow are:
Step 1
Order a suitable* hosting package from our list; here.
Step 2
You will now be able to raise a support ticket with us, just log into your Krystal Client Area and raise a new support request. All we need is a list of sites to be moved, as well as your cPanel login details at Your Hosting Company.
Step 3
We will then copy the site over and advise on the next steps to take.
Please note that we’ll honour paid time and we won’t bill until your next renewal.
*If you are unsure of which hosting account to choose, you’re welcome to contact us using our live chat, by phone on 020 8050 1337 between the hours of 9am and 8pm, or by raising a support ticket. In some cases, when you have many domains (more than 10), we’d suggest a reseller package as this may be the best option for you. This would allow you to have any number of sites all on their own cPanels, each with their own individual resource limits. In most cases, however, the Amethyst or Ruby packages will be sufficient. You can upgrade/downgrade at any time during your time with us.
Will there be any downtime?
There shouldn’t be any downtime at all. We will copy things over in the background and give you time to preview it to make sure everything is in place as you expect. When ready all you need to do is change the nameservers to point visitors from the old server to the new one, resulting in no interruption of service for visitors to your sites.
